I'd like to recommend this book, When Brazil was Modern: a guide to architecture 1928-1960, by Lauro Cavalcanti; a good read, well illustrated and smallish portable format.
On Thursday 8 April I attended a Round Table Discussion at The Showroom Gallery in London as part of the ongoing project by Ricardo Basbaum entitled Would you like to participate in an artistic experience?
Some of the Brazil cohort were interested in music; there is a Brazil Festival on the Southbank, London over the summer and there are some eminent musicians playing: Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethania, Os Mutantes, Tom Ze.
