- Jackie Lee undertook a degree in Printed Textiles at West Surrey College of Art & Design and having gained an Art Teachers Certificate at Goldsmith College, University of London, she initially started her professional career working in the design studio of a printed textile company. She then worked for 6 years at the Crafts Council as Outreach Officer, developing a programme of Art, Design & Technology initiatives with makers and inner London schools. She has been in her current position as Crafts Officer at Arts Council England West Midlands since 1998, advocating on behalf of the contemporary craft sector; supporting craft related activity, organisations, exhibition venues, and makers; whilst seeking to increased resources and development opportunities for the sector.
Jackie has been involved in Arts Council England’s National Craft Working Group that developed a National Craft Strategy and Action Plan. This work has resulted in three significant national development initiatives:

From April 2010, Jackie will be taking up a new role at Arts Council England West Midlands. She will be the Relationship Manager (Visual Arts), with particular responsibility for Crafts and Workspace Development.
