Career Path
Sara Roberts is an independent exhibition curator, writer and consultant based in Winchester. Exhibitions include The Chemistry Set, on the patination of metals, and 30/30 Vision: Creative Journeys in Contemporary Craft, (both Crafts Council). She has also curated touring exhibitions including Hand to Eye, on craft processes, Words in the Landscape: Contemporary Poetry and Lettercarving, (Southern Arts Touring Exhibition Service at The Winchester Gallery) and Diaspora Cymreig for Ruthin Craft Centre, profiling makers of Welsh origin working outside Wales. She has worked for the Public Art Commissions Agency, The British Council, The Winchester Gallery, Oriel Mostyn and The Imperial War Museum. For the British Council, she toured Something the Matter, an exhibition of the work of Helen Chadwick, Cornelia Parker and Cathy de Monchaux, to the 1993 Sao Paulo Biennal and other venues in Brazil and Argentina. She also initiated a tour of the work of Richard Deacon in Latin America.
